The questions we are asked
What is the Shockspot?
A robotic sex machine. A linear instrument for a private room — programmable through software, and independently through a stand-alone remote. It accommodates lying, kneeling, sitting, and standing. High-grade aluminum and stainless. It folds into a small case.
Is there anything else like it?
The architecture is unusual. Linear drive. Constant thrust across the stroke. Software composition. A remote that does not require a computer. That combination is the house’s argument.
How does the force compare?
Shockspot publishes thrust — the push at the rail — not motor torque an inch from a shaft. 20.91 lb of thrust at a 12-inch stroke is the equal of a rotary machine rated at 125 inch-pounds.
How is it commanded?
Through Shockspot software, a palm button, or the stand-alone remote. Depth, speed, and smoothness are sliders or knobs. Programs may be named, saved, and recalled. No thumbscrews.
How small does it fold?
About 16.5 × 26.5 × 5.5 inches with the legs attached, or 6 × 25 × 5.25 inches with the legs removed. It has been carried as cabin luggage. Confirm with the airline before you fly.
Where is it assembled?
In the United States. That will not change.
How fast can it move?
Governed by the profile you set. Maximum linear speed is 27.36 inches per second.
Is this a sex machine?
Yes. Shockspot is a high-end robotic sex machine — a linear instrument for a private room. The motion is not a single mechanical loop. Acceleration, depth, and stroke are set by you, then blended.
Must I write a program before it will run?
No. It runs as delivered, from the software or the stand-alone remote. Writing your own sequence is an option, not a requirement. Programs may be named, saved, recalled, and revised.
Do I need a computer?
Not to run it. The stand-alone remote commands the instrument on its own. A laptop or PC is for the software — composition, saving, and play across a network. The software is not limited to Windows.
May I use my own attachments?
Yes. The rail accepts house attachments and your own, through the coupler. The motion does not depend on a single insert.
What separates the eight from the twelve?
Stroke. The eight is 200 mm. The twelve is 300 mm — 11.81 inches. The twelve is the longer rail, built for a larger payload and side-load. Both are the same instrument: digital motion, on the fly, without thumbscrews.
How does it arrive?
Discreetly. The case does not announce itself. The instrument folds for travel — about 23 pounds — and has been carried as cabin luggage. Confirm with the airline before you fly.
Can it be commanded from another room?
Yes. A laptop on the same network, or farther, through a remote-desktop connection. Only the motion travels. The instrument stays where you left it.
Where do I find the software and the films?
On Commissioning. Software, manuals, and short films for first light, folding, and the remote.
